1. Santorini, Greece
Santorini has perfect weather from January 15th to January 21st. The weather is somewhat nice in the weeks before and poor in the weeks after. Tourism in the area is somewhat slow during this time. Choosing Santorini this week is a great choice for anyone looking for nice weather and lower prices.

2. Hengchun, Taiwan
The weather in Hengchun is excellent during this week with nice temperatures and low chances of rain. The month before is equally nice and the month after is just as perfectly temperate. Crowds are far below average in size. Go here in mid January if you want absolutely perfect weather and generally lower prices.

3. Kowloon, Hong Kong
Due to the average number of tourists, a trip to Kowloon in mid January tends to be neither the least nor the most expensive, but the weather couldn’t be better. This period of ideal weather comes after a long stretch of similarly-wonderful weather. If booking a longer trip, you’ll want to know that the weather remains nice for the next 30 days. Note that it can get busy here in other seasons.

4. Christchurch, New Zealand
As with every place on this list, temperatures in Christchurch feel excellent, rain is infrequent, and there are no travel advisories at the moment. Tourists looking for hotels and flights are somewhat common during this time, so prices may be about average. The many hotels here can fill up, but probably won’t during this period. We could also recommend visiting earlier than this, and the weeks following have weather that is as good as mid January.

5. McAllen, TX, US
With far fewer travelers booking during this time compared to the busiest months, hotels and airlines will probably offer some incentives to stay during this period. This is a good time to visit, but the weeks beforehand are also very nice. If you’re planning to stay for more than a week, you’ll likely find enjoyable weather the whole time.

Stanthorpe would already be less expensive, and this time of year should be even less expensive. Weather in the 4 weeks prior is usually amazing, this week is among the best you can choose for both low crowds and weather, then the weather gets a little worse for a few more weeks.

Though maybe the least-well-known location on this list, the weather is also very nice and there are plenty of things to do. For Tenterfield, this nice period falls between times that have excellent weather and weeks that have nice enough weather.
