In late January and early February each of these places are the perfect balance between temperate weather and smaller crowds, which also translates into better deals for tourists.

1. Hengchun, Taiwan
Hengchun has perfect weather from January 29th to February 4th. The weather is also perfect in the weeks before and ideal in the weeks after. Tourism in the area is slow during this time. Choosing Hengchun this week is a great choice for anyone looking for nice weather and lower prices.

2. Kowloon, Hong Kong
The weather in Kowloon is excellent during this week with nice temperatures and low chances of rain. The month before is equally nice and the month after is slightly less temperate. Crowds are below average in size. Go here in late January and early February if you want absolutely perfect weather and generally lower prices.

3. San Diego, CA, US
Due to the lower number of tourists, a trip to San Diego in late January and early February tends to be much less expensive, and the weather couldn’t be better. This period of ideal weather comes after some similarly enjoyable weather. If booking a longer trip, you’ll want to know that the weather will be almost as enjoyable for the next 30 days. Note that it can get busy here in other seasons.

4. Christchurch, New Zealand
As with every place on this list, temperatures in Christchurch feel excellent, rain is infrequent, and there are no travel advisories at the moment. Tourists looking for hotels and flights are somewhat common during this time, so prices may be about average. The many hotels here can fill up, but probably won’t during this period. We could also recommend visiting earlier than this, and the weeks following have weather that is almost as good as late January and early February.

With far fewer travelers booking during this time compared to the busiest months, hotels and airlines will probably offer some incentives to stay during this period. This is a good time to visit, because the weeks earlier are still seasonally less than ideal. If you’re planning to stay for more than a week, you can expect the weather to be almost as nice.

For Kapolei, this nice period falls between times that have excellent weather and weeks that have even better weather.
