    Average temperatures in Las Vegas vary somewhat and are temperate most of the year. The area is in the top 11 percent of tourist destinations for pleasant weather. Weeks with ideal weather are listed above. If you’re looking for the very warmest time to visit Las Vegas, the hottest months are July, August, and then June. See average monthly temperatures below. The warmest time of year is generally late June where highs are regularly around 79.6°F (26.4°C) with temperatures rarely dropping below 57.3°F (14.1°C) at night.

    Precipitation (Rain or Snow)

    If dry weather is what you’re after, the months with the lowest chance of precipitation in Las Vegas are December, February, and then January. The lowest chance of rain or snow occurs around early April. For example, on the week of April 2nd there are only 0 days of precipitation on average. By contrast, it’s most likely to rain or snow in late January and early February with an average of 0.9 days with significant precipitation the week of January 29th.

    When can you find snow in Las Vegas? Weather stations report a bit of annual snow likely to be deepest around no given month, especially close to mid-December. Powder (new snow) is most often falls around December 17th. Please note that a value of 0 for snow in the graph below may either mean there was no snow, or that snow is unreported.

    Humidity and Wind

    Las Vegas has dry air compared to most tourist destinations. The least humid month is June (5.7% relative humidity), and the most humid month is December (34.3%).

    Wind in Las Vegas is usually moderate. The windiest month is May, followed by April and June. May’s average wind speed of around 8 knots (9.2 MPH or 14.8 KPH) is considered “gentle breeze.” Maximum sustained winds (the highest speed for the day lasting more than a few moments) are at their highest in early May where average top sustained speeds reach 19.4 knots, which is considered a fresh breeze.

    The Busiest and Least Crowded Months

    The busiest month for tourism in Las Vegas, NV (USA) is January, followed by July and February. Prices for hotels and flights will be most expensive during these months, though you can save if you purchase well in advance. Tourists are unlikely to visit Las Vegas in November. Those willing to visit at these times will likely find it the least expensive month.

    Spring (March through May)

    Humidity and temperatures combine to make this season feel warm. Highs range from 72.1°F (22.3°C) and 49.4°F (9.7°C) with warmer temperatures in the later months. Rain is extremely rare with 0 to 1 days of precipitation per month. Spring is fairly slow for tourism, which makes it a good time for those looking for deals.

    Summer (June through August)

    The middle-year months have hot weather with high temperatures that are quite warm. These months see the least precipitation with 0 to 1 days of precipitation per month. June – August is the busiest season for tourism in Las Vegas, so lodging and other accommodations may cost more than usual.

    Fall (September through November)

    Fall daily highs range from 74°F (23.3°C) and 46.7°F (8.2°C), which will feel very nice given the humidity and wind. It rains or snows a very small amount: 0 to 1 days per month. Tourism is the slowest during these months due to the weather, so hotels may be lower priced.

    Winter (December through February)

    Weather is too cold this time of year in Las Vegas to be enjoyable for warm weather travelers. The average high during this season is between 50.7°F (10.4°C) and 40.7°F (4.8°C). On average, it rains or snows a normal amount: 1 to 2 times per month. These times of year are busy with tourists.
