Below are the best locations for a trip from September 3rd to September 9th. We’ve taken into account rain, temperature, travel advisories for safety, and number of tourists in the area. In early September each of these places are the perfect balance between temperate weather and smaller crowds, which also translates into better deals for tourists.
Because we’ve located areas and times where there is a greater chance for hotels/flights to be under capacity and weather is likely to be temperate and dry, the best time to book these 10 trips is usually within 1-4 weeks before travel.
1. Barcelona, Spain
Barcelona has perfect weather from September 3rd to September 9th. The weather is less than ideal in the weeks before and great in the weeks after. Tourism in the area is slow during this time. Choosing Barcelona this week is a great choice for anyone looking for nice weather and lower prices.
The graph below shows how temperatures feel given humidity (heat index) and wind chill. Tourist demand is usually the opposite of price: where demand is low prices are too. For Celsius: click the “best time to visit” link below the graphs.

3. Berlin, Germany
Due to the average number of tourists, a trip to Berlin in early September tends to be neither the least nor the most expensive, but the weather couldn’t be better. This period of ideal weather comes after a long stretch of similarly-wonderful weather. If booking a longer trip, you’ll want to know that the weather will be almost as enjoyable for the next 30 days. Note that it can get busy here in other seasons.

4. Oslo, Norway
As with every place on this list, temperatures in Oslo feel excellent, rain is infrequent, and there are no travel advisories at the moment. Tourists looking for hotels and flights are uncommon during this time, so prices may be lower. The many hotels here can fill up, but probably won’t during this period. We could also recommend visiting earlier than this, and the weeks following have weather that is not nearly as good as early September.

5. San Jose, CA, US
With far fewer travelers booking during this time compared to the busiest months, hotels and airlines will probably offer some incentives to stay during this period. This is a good time to visit, but the weeks beforehand are also very nice. If you’re planning to stay for more than a week, you’ll likely find enjoyable weather the whole time.
