Below are the best locations for a trip from July 2nd to July 8th. We’ve taken into account rain, temperature, travel advisories for safety, and number of tourists in the area. In early July each of these places are the perfect balance between temperate weather and smaller crowds, which also translates into better deals for tourists.
Because we’ve located areas and times where there is a greater chance for hotels/flights to be under capacity and weather is likely to be temperate and dry, the best time to book these 10 trips is usually within 1-4 weeks before travel.
1. Lisbon, Portugal
Lisbon has perfect weather from July 2nd to July 8th. The weather is almost as nice in the weeks before and great in the weeks after. Tourism in the area is somewhat slow during this time. Choosing Lisbon this week is a great choice for anyone looking for nice weather and lower prices.
The graph below shows how temperatures feel given humidity (heat index) and wind chill. Tourist demand is usually the opposite of price: where demand is low prices are too. For Celsius: click the “best time to visit” link below the graphs.

3. Steamboat Springs, CO, US
Due to the average number of tourists, a trip to Steamboat Springs in early July tends to be neither the least nor the most expensive, but the weather couldn’t be better. This period of ideal weather comes after some less enjoyable seasonal weathe. If booking a longer trip, you’ll want to know that the weather remains nice for the next 30 days. Due to the more remote nature crowds are usually manageable year-round.

4. Daylesford, VC, Australia
As with every place on this list, temperatures in Daylesford feel excellent, rain is infrequent, and there are no travel advisories at the moment. Tourists looking for hotels and flights are very uncommon during this time, so prices may be at their lowest. Because it’s a little less common of a destination, massive crowds aren’t likely. We could also strongly recommend visiting earlier than this, and the weeks following have weather that is almost as good as early July.

5. Tallinn, Estonia
With far fewer travelers booking during this time compared to the busiest months, hotels and airlines will probably offer some incentives to stay during this period. This is a good time to visit, because the weeks earlier are still seasonally less than ideal. If you’re planning to stay for more than a week, you can expect the weather to be almost as nice.
