Average temperatures in Zambia vary somewhat. Considering humidity, temperatures feel hot for about half of the year and otherwise nice with a low chance of precipitation most of the year. Zambia has some very humid months, and dry months in the opposite season. The least humid month is September (28.9% relative humidity), and the most humid month is January (70.7%).
Wind in Zambia is usually calm. The windiest month is July, followed by September and October. July’s average wind speed of around 6.8 knots (7.8 MPH or 12.6 KPH) is considered “a light breeze.” Maximum sustained winds (the highest speed for the day lasting more than a few moments) are at their highest in late October where average top sustained speeds reach 11.6 knots, which is considered a moderate breeze.

Winter (June through August)

June – August is the second busiest season for tourism in Zambia, so lodging and other accommodations may cost slightly more.
