    Wind in Palau is usually moderate. The windiest month is February, followed by January and March. February’s average wind speed of around 6.2 knots (7.1 MPH or 11.5 KPH) is considered “light breeze.” Maximum sustained winds (the highest speed for the day lasting more than a few moments) are at their highest in early August where average top sustained speeds reach 13.5 knots, which is considered a moderate breeze.
