Average temperatures in Taiwan vary somewhat. Considering humidity, temperatures feel hot for about half of the year and otherwise nice with a very low chance of rain throughout the year. The area is more temperate than most — in the 62nd percentile for pleasant weather — compared to tourist destinations worldwide. Weeks with ideal weather are listed above. The warmest time of year is generally late June where highs are regularly around 91.5°F (33.1°C) with temperatures rarely dropping below 79.6°F (26.4°C) at night.

Humidity and Wind
Taiwan has some very humid months, and above average humidity throughout the year. The least humid month is January (65.7% relative humidity), and the most humid month is August (73.4%).
Wind in Taiwan is usually moderate. The windiest month is January, followed by December and October. January’s average wind speed of around 9.6 knots (11 MPH or 17.7 KPH) is considered “a gentle breeze.” Maximum sustained winds (the highest speed for the day lasting more than a few moments) are at their highest in early to mid August where average top sustained speeds reach 18.2 knots, which is considered a fresh breeze.

Spring (March through May)
Humidity and temperatures combine to make this season feel warm. Highs range from 87.1°F (30.6°C) and 71.2°F (21.8°C) with warmer temperatures in the later months. Spring is the second busiest for tourism, which makes it a good time for those looking for things to do.
Summer (June through August)
The middle-year months have very comfortable weather with high temperatures that are quite warm. June – August is fairly slow season for tourism in Taiwan, so lodging and other accommodations may cost slightly less.
Fall (September through November)
Fall daily highs range from 89.4°F (31.9°C) and 75.9°F (24.4°C), which will feel very nice given the humidity and wind. Tourism is the busiest during these months due to the weather, so hotels may be higher priced.
Winter (December through February)
Weather is somewhat cool this time of year in Taiwan to be enjoyable for warm weather travelers. The average high during this season is between 74.3°F (23.5°C) and 68.4°F (20.2°C). These times of year are the slowest with tourists.
