Average temperatures in Puerto Rico vary little. Considering humidity, temperatures feel very enjoyable all year with a very low chance of rain or snow throughout the year. Wind in Puerto Rico is usually stronger than many places. The windiest month is July, followed by August and June. July’s average wind speed of around 21.9 knots (25.2 MPH or 40.5 KPH) is considered “a fresh breeze.” Maximum sustained winds (the highest speed for the day lasting more than a few moments) are at their highest in mid July where average top sustained speeds reach 29 knots, which is considered high wind or moderate gale winds.

Humidity and temperatures combine to make this season feel warm. Highs range from 77.3°F (25.2°C) and 70.7°F (21.5°C) with warmer temperatures in the later months. Rain is extremely rare with 0 to 1 days of significant precipitation per month. Spring is the slowest for tourism, which makes it a good time for those looking for deals.
Summer (June through August)
The middle-year months have very comfortable weather with high temperatures that are comfortable. These months see the least precipitation with about 0 days of precipitation per month. June – August is the second busiest season for tourism in Puerto Rico, so lodging and other accommodations may cost slightly more.
Fall (September through November)
Fall daily highs range from 81.5°F (27.5°C) and 73.6°F (23.1°C), which will feel very nice given the humidity and wind. It rains or snows a normal amount: 1 to 2 days per month. Tourism is fairly slow during these months due to the weather, so hotels may be lower priced.
Winter (December through February)
Weather is somewhat cool this time of year in Puerto Rico to be enjoyable for warm weather travelers. The average high during this season is between 73.3°F (22.9°C) and 69.6°F (20.9°C).
