Average temperatures in Florida vary greatly. Considering humidity, temperatures feel nice most of the year, excluding some hot weeks in the summer, with a fair chance of precipitation about half of the year. Precipitation (Rain or Snow)

If dry weather is what you’re after, the months with the lowest chance of significant precipitation in Florida are June, July, and then March. Note that we define “significant precipitation” as .1 inches or more in this section. The lowest chance of rain or snow occurs around mid June. For example, on the week of June 18th there are no days of precipitation on average. By contrast, it’s most likely to rain or snow in mid February with an average of 3 days of significant precipitation the week of February 19th.

When can you find snow in Florida? Weather stations report moderate or seasonal snow likely to be deepest around July, especially close to early July. The best time to ski (if at all) in Florida is often around around July 2nd when fresh powder is deepest. Wind in Florida is usually calm. The windiest month is November, followed by September and October. November’s average wind speed of around 5.2 knots (6 MPH or 9.6 KPH) is considered “a light breeze.” Maximum sustained winds (the highest speed for the day lasting more than a few moments) are at their highest in mid to late September where average top sustained speeds reach 9.7 knots, which is considered a gentle breeze.

Humidity and temperatures combine to make this season feel warm. Highs range from 90.5°F (32.5°C) and 67.5°F (19.7°C) with colder temperatures in the later months. Rain is somewhat common with 4 to 5 days of significant precipitation per month. Fall is fairly slow for tourism, which makes it a good time for those looking for deals.

Winter (June through August)

The middle-year months have comfortably cool weather with high temperatures that are comfortable. These months see the least precipitation with 1 to 7 days of precipitation per month. June – August is the slowest season for tourism in Florida, so lodging and other accommodations may cost less than usual.

Spring (September through November)

Spring daily highs range from 82.9°F (28.3°C) and 68.4°F (20.2°C), which will feel very nice given the humidity and wind. It rains or snows a significant amount: 5 to 6 days per month. Tourism is the second busiest during these months due to the weather, so hotels may be slightly higher priced.

Summer (December through February)

Weather is perfect this time of year in Florida to be enjoyable for warm weather travelers. The average high during this season is between 89.3°F (31.8°C) and 81.7°F (27.6°C). On average, it rains or snows a fair amount: 5 to 7 times per month. These times of year are the busiest with tourists.
