Enshi has some very humid months, and above average humidity throughout the year. The least humid month is August (65.2% relative humidity), and the most humid month is November (78.8%).

Wind in Enshi is usually extremely calm. The windiest month is August, followed by July and April. August’s average wind speed of around 2.6 knots (3 MPH or 4.8 KPH) is considered “light air.” Maximum sustained winds (the highest speed for the day lasting more than a few moments) are at their highest in late July where average top sustained speeds reach 5.1 knots, which is considered a light breeze.

Spring (March through May)

Humidity and temperatures combine to make this season feel moderate. Highs range from 81°F (27.2°C) and 53°F (11.7°C) with warmer temperatures in the later months. Rain is somewhat common with 7 to 12 days of significant precipitation per month. Spring is the busiest for tourism, which makes it a good time for those looking for things to do.

Summer (June through August)

The middle-year months have very comfortable weather with high temperatures that are quite warm. These months see moderate precipitation with 9 to 10 days of precipitation per month. June – August is the slowest season for tourism in Enshi, so lodging and other accommodations may cost less than usual.

Fall (September through November)

Fall daily highs range from 82.5°F (28.1°C) and 56°F (13.3°C), which will feel comfortable given the humidity and wind. It rains or snows a significant amount: 7 to 9 days per month. Tourism is the second busiest during these months due to the weather, so hotels may be slightly higher priced.

Winter (December through February)
